R.E.M To Work With Jacknife Lee
REM are set to hit the studio this spring with acclaimed Irish producer Jacknife Lee to start work on their fourteenth studio album.
Lee has previously worked on Snow Patrol’s ‘Final Straw’, U2’s ‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ and Kasabian’s eponymous debut.
The album is expected to be released before the end of the year, with the band promising that it will have more of a rock edge to 2004’s ‘Around The Sun.’
As previously reported, REM are being inducted into the American Music Hall of Fame later today by Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.
The group will also be playing live at the New York Ceremony along with drummer Bill Berry who quit the outfit a decade ago.
