More Info: On paper, Icky Thump’s musical construction sounds like a recipe for disaster. Warped guitar riffs, 21st Century psychotic bagpipes and a jittered drum beat. Aurally, however, the result is something quite special indeed. Although Jack White may have created a new band in The Raconteurs while The White Stripes have been on sabbatical, ‘Icky Thump’ sees the duo return, with a memorable video and an even more memorable song. ‘Icky Thump’ is released on June 11th, via XL Recordings.
