Haunted boyband avatar Robbie Williams, him off your mate’s wedding disco playlist, will headline Barclaycard British Summertime do in Hyde Park on July 14, 2019.
And it’s going to be fucking fantastic.
With a hit-making career that spanned two centuries, the former Take That dancer legitimately has enough big tunes to make for a jolly cider-fuelled summer evening out with your bezzies.
Go on, tell me you don’t know at least half the lyrics to ‘Rock DJ’, or that you’re too cool to belt out the chorus of ‘Angels’ with a vast crowd of tipsy nostalgic thirtysomethings.
He’s currently a judge on X-Factor (who knew), and whatever your stance on the bloke who joined Take That aged 16, then later signed an £80 MILLION SOLO DEAL, in 2002 if you please, he knows exactly how to get a big crowd going.
In 2003, you’ll recall, he played some of the biggest gigs IN HISTORY performing to around 125,000 people a night, for three nights, at Knebworth – not to mention an estimated 3.5 million people who watched it the shows on telly.
‘Millennium’ – great track. ‘Supreme’ – great track. ‘Feel’ – great track.
Remember this one?
If that was an Oasis tune, it would be in Oasis’s top five tunes, fight me.
