More about:

Modern Woman began as a writing project for frontwoman Sophie Harris. They began as spoken word pieces, but have since transformed into the spiraling and mysterious music we now see before us.

Born from a diverse mixing pot of influences, ‘Offerings’ is just that. An offering of what we can hope to see next. The track itself is a swelling and foreboding piece of music, rife with lingering dread, snarling violin and  wicked vocal delivery, Modern Woman, even with only one release, are certainly one to watch.

With the track came a stellar music video, directed by Sandra Ebert, that manages to capture the tracks raw and deliciously unkempt atmosphere perfectly.

On ‘Offerings’, Sophie Harris said:

“I wanted to reflect on the primal experience of desire and how deeply rooted it is in everything we do. Deep under all yearnings are animalistic hankerings, obsessive perspectives and religious-like fixations.”
