Great news Ryan Adams fans: 'Fuck The Rain', the lead single from his forthcoming album Big Colors has today been released on streaming services and for download - and there's going to be an April UK tour that you can get tickets for from this Friday, 25 January at 9:00 AM.

Eschewing the temptation to leave an arty statement about the track (which you can listen to below), Adams instead says: “Check out this song it’s cool. Or don’t- we all might die trump is president. I love you, sincerely Ryan Adams."

Featuring a guest guitar solo from album co-producer John Mayer, there's an exquisite reverb sound running through the immersive cut.

In addition to Mayer, Beatriz Artola. Bob Mould, Benmont Tench, Don Was and The Section Quartet are credited on Big Colors, which was recorded at Electric Lady, Capitol Studios and Adams’ own PAX-AM label.

Tour starts with a drool-worthy date at Royal Albert Hall on 2 April, takes in seven cities in total, wrapping up in Cambridge. 

This early 2019 jaunt is scheduled just before the new album release date of 19 April making it a bit of an exclusive for UK-based fans. Hopefully the gigs will be an opportunity to hear parts of the two other albums Adams is releasing later this year as well.

Of the other two releases, only the details for the album Wednesdays are ready to be shared. It's said to have 17-tracks and include a guest appearance from Nashville-based songwriter Jason Isbell.

Last week, Ryan Adams aired the nostalgic track 'Doylsetown Girl' on University of Pennsylvania radio station WXPN - track 5 from Big Colors.

The early sharing of material from the album was a gesture from Adams to thank the station for being such long-term champions of his music, according to the presenter. And the song is named after a Pennsylvanian town iso likely to have resonated brilliantly on campus.
