Masters of the dark/light dichotomy The Murder Capital have today announced their debut album, entitled When I Have Fears. Recorded with Flood (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave &The Bad Seeds, Foals), the album is set for release on 16 August via Human Season Records.

This band have set tongues wagging within the underground music press; their propulsive post-punk continues to cement their formidable reputation with each anticipated release. Word-of mouth is indeed a powerful thing, and it’s served The Murder Capital exceptionally well.

Following a slew of sold-out shows on their April tour, The Murder Capital have also announced they’ll be hitting the highways on a headline tour, straddling both October and November. See the full list of dates below - tickets go onsale on Friday.

About their recent release ‘Green and Blue’, we said: “They make sounds with a bruisingly powerful, punky abandon, yet they deliver it with something a little bit different from the cacophony of pure punk. It’s curiously delicate and nuanced; beautifully brutal.”

With the two critically acclaimed singles under their belt, The Murder Capital are in prime position.

The record is available for preorder now, and it will be available on gatefold colour LP, black LP, as part of a limited bundle (which includes a gatefold colour LP, a t-shirt, a pin & a journal), on CD, and as a digital download.
