Speaking about their latest cut, singer James Potter divulges, “‘Past Tense' is a song that delves into endings. Whether that be relationships, life, or periods of your life. It is important to take time to fully understand and let yourself feel what you need to feel in these moments.”
The track, which is being released via LA-based label IHC 1NFINITY comes with an accompanying music video which explores the life of Blaire, a twenty-something coming to terms with the death of her boyfriend. It’s the latest video in a series from IHEARTCOMIX, who have used the visuals as a tribute to their own friend.
Detailing their involvement with the company, the band say, “It's very touching that IHEARTCOMIX found so much meaning in our song that they wanted to use it to soundtrack such a moving tribute to their friend. Although the song was not originally written about grief I think it's beautiful that IHC found their own meaning in it. That's one of my favourite things about music, it's so personal.”
Fast building up a reputation for their captivating live shows, we said of their Great Escape show, "Walt Disco are a shimmering, warbling, glittering, angular, 80s New Romantic wet dream. They’re lustful, theatrical and thrive on unpredictability; frontman James Potter stalks around the stage and lurches into the crowd, swinging off monitors and getting up close and personal with those lucky enough to be in the front row."
