It's an off-cut from the Schlagenheim sessions

More about:

black midi have released a brand new song in the form of eleven-and-a-half-minute long 'Sweater.' It's an off-cut from the Schlagenheim sessions with Speedy Wunderground label owner Dan Carey, and it's an atmospheric-industrial waiting game.

After building a cult following on the live circuit back in 2018, black midi released their critically-acclaimed debut Schlagenheim last year. 'Sweater' is a longer, more considered journey from the London group; a patient unspooling of chaos from the centre of the band's mad motor mind.

It doesn't feel as though there's a hell of a lot going on, and yet of course, there is. Listen to 'Sweater' and feel yourself being taken away by the atmosphere of it all.

On their batshit debut, we said that "few bands have so successfully conquered the cacophonous realms of math rock and post punk as the enigmatic black midi."

Oh, and they're doing a huge slew of UK and European shows:
