More about:

black midi have covered two festive classics: 'Jingle Bell Rock' and 'What Christmas Means To Me'. The project is in aid of the Brixton Windmill and the fund to keep it alive through the continuing pandemic.

In classic BM fashion, the covers are perhaps not what you'd expect: far from the math rock of their debut album Schlagenheim, both tracks are more accurately reworkings decorated by the band's instrument playing and mix wizardry.

"We recorded a couple of covers of our favourite Christmas tunes at our rehearsal room and then added some bells an whistles at home Usually we would do some fun one off covers shows at the Windmill around this time of year so hopefully this goes some way to fill the gap" the band wrote in a statement.
