For the last few years EKKAH have been making a name for themselves within the electronic genre, but on this latest release they’ve revved their disco engines to the max and delivered a solid modern disco number in the form of ‘Room 4 Love’.

Longtime friends Rebekah Pennington and Rebecca Wilson’s fruitful creative partnership started through a mutual love of music in school, and ever since they’ve been masterfully weaving the fibres of funk, disco and pop throughout their discography.

On this latest single ‘Room 4 Love’, clapping percussion and a funky bassline combine with the shimmering spin of a disco ball and the stab of a guitar riff to create the ultimate dancefloor filler. Hear it below:

Winning over fans from all points of the musical spectrum, the emotive melody that flickers and sparks around the core groove is intoxicating and nigh-on impossible to resist - it may even get the most dancefloor-adverse tapping their toes. Arguably bigger sounding than their previous releases, it seems primed for the kind of soundsystems you’d find in a cavernous club, where sparkling bodies groove and let loose to the music.

Delving deeper into the lyrics, the band explain: “This song is an ode to knowing your own worth, wanting something you can depend on. There’s no room for a love that comes with conditions.”
