More about:

Public Enemy have blasted back today with the really quite excellent 'State Of The Union (STFU)'. It's a takedown of Donald Trump and his fascist regime, and a call to arms for everyone in the U.S.A. to use their voice and vote for change.

Frontman Chuck D has already spoken out against the President in his work with supergroup Prophets of Rage. On 'State Of The Union (STFU)' the tirade continues in a neatly-composed, furious stream of truths: organised and intelligent, it's the kind of call to arms that should terrify the right wing.

"Whatever it takes/rid this dictator" Chuck D raps in his familiar baritone: a voice that has spoken for social justice ever since the birth of Public Enemy in the 1980's.

Hear the return:

"Our collective voices keep getting louder. The rest of the planet is on our side. But it’s not enough to talk about change. You have to show up and demand change,” Chuck D noted, “Folks gotta vote like their lives depend on it, ‘cause it does.”

“Public Enemy tells it like it is,” added Flavor Flav. “It’s time for him to GO.”

And on 'State Of The Union (STFU)', Public Enemy prove their distinct style of hip hop and rap is still absolutely as fresh and exciting as it was thirty years ago.
