Leeds four-piece Askies are spinning their brand new single 'Easy' for you - all day on Gigwise. A big deal in their home county of Yorkshire, Askies are putting their feelers out with a cut that's bound to capture the interest of indie fans more far afield.

All-encompassing guitar riffs and sweaty percussion balloon the indie sensibilities of this one into more of a rock arena piece. Brooding basslines and big, dramatic choruses lift it out of the humdrum indie landfill and into something to pay attention to.
Alongside vocals that parallel those of Catfish and the Bottlemen's Van McCann, Askies seem to have grasped onto the essence of a really infectious indie song in the same vein. More like this and Askies will be playing the main stage within five years.
On the song and its themes, the band note: "it’s a common situation in relationships, and most people would be able to relate to the same type of anger’s voiced through the lyrics, and the overall sound of the song."
It capitalises on two sold-out shows for the band in Leeds last year - and features with BBC Introducing.
'Easy' is out tomorrow.
