More about:

A trifecta of excellent Radiohead covers is completed today by Holly Humberstone and her version of 'Fake Plastic Trees'. The young artist is coming up to the release of her debut EP fast.

Sparse and touching, just like the original, Humberstone's cover is a gentle tribute that feels personal to her. Acoustic and impassioned, you can easily imagine Holly playing this in the privacy of her own bedroom as a young girl learning the guitar.

A child of the noughties, this 1995 cut from The Bends clearly had a prominent spot in this singer's life:

“I remember my dad playing ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ on repeat and telling me it was one of his favourite songs of all time, and since then its had a bit of a special place in my heart" she said of the song's personal meaning.

The cover follows Lianne La Havas' interpretation of 'Weird Fishes' and Arlo Parks' version of 'Creep'.

Holly Humberstone EP arrives 14 August via Platoon.
