Hastings' Kid Kapichi are trailing their debut album This Time Next Year with a new single today. 'What Would Your Mother Say' is a Gothic, B-movie punk explosion for fans of Slaves.

It starts off all stalking bass and staccato vocals, but by the end this single dissolves into a full, thrashing guitar solo and moshpit instigator. Pretty irresistible.

Hear it:

“What Would Your Mother Say is a tale about the bad decisions made by a small town trouble maker. You’re invincible until you’re not” says co-vocalist and guitarist Ben Beetham.

This Time Next Year was fully made in lockdown and was a completely DIY job: engineering and mixing futies went to Beetham.
