Joel Culpepper continued the journey to his debut album Sgt Culpepper last night with the release of 'Poetic Justice', a single that got its premiere on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show.

Beginning with some mellow spoken word between Culpepper and a female protagonist urging him to let go of the past, 'Poetic Justice' dissolves into a soulful, yearning track that shows the introspective side of an artist known for his funky party-starters.

The song was produced by Tom Misch and follows Double AA-side 'Return'/'War', which will also appear on his forthcoming debut.
