More about:

Ben Howard has followed up news that he'll drop his new LP Collections From The Whiteout with a brand new single. 'Crowhurst's Meme' is the second slice of the forthcoming fourth album from the artist.

The new single is a little different from earlier work: the sultry yodel of Howard's voice is still as beguiling as ever, but now there's a new background for it to make sillhouettes against. A vaguely dissonant collection of drums, bass and keys give a delightfully 'off' feel to 'Crowhurst's Meme'.

Detailing his inspirations, Howard said: “This song was firstly inspired by a wonky synth guitar part that I had which had a kind of seasick quality to it, which in my head had a tenuous link to the Donald Crowhurst story – the famous tale of the amateur British sailor who died whilst sailing around the world".
