Friends and mutual admirers become collaborators today as Rina Sawayama and Elton John link up for a remix of the LBGTQ+ ballad 'Chosen Family'. 

Originally released as a single before making up part of our album of 2020 SAWAYAMA, 'Chosen Family' is a gentle pop ballad about the power of being able to choose your own support network, and to have them become akin to your family.

Highly touching and delicately composed, the Elton John edition of the song features the man himself on piano and engaged in a sweet duet with Sawayama.

"It's such a huge honour and a genuine thrill to be asked to duet with Rina," Elton said. "She is just an extraordinary talent."

Rina added: "The song means so much to both of us, and recording it together was such a special experience I will never forget."
