Dreamy and laid-back, with more to come later in the year
Matt Maltese has just shared the first taste of his new album with ‘Mystery’, complete with a dreamy, cinematic music video. The still enigmatic new album is set for release later this year on Nettwerk.

‘Mystery’ is a simple track, brought together by gentle synths, and intoxicating vocal harmonies, topped off with a sweet guitar line. Speaking about the song, Maltese said: “This song’s a loving question mark. Why we are what we are, and think and feel the way we do, is an unanswerable question that we can only be in awe of sometimes.”
‘Mystery’ is a confident taste of the new music to come, which Maltese says is rooted in escapism. “I’ve had to find more meaning out of the small parts of life. I want this record to celebrate the theatre in all the small things. It’s so cheesy to say it, but I think life is best when you try to make the ordinary extraordinary.”
