Up and coming indie heroes The Lathums have shared a special acapella version of their latest single ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’. The new version sees the band put down their jangly guitars and settle for a stripped-back bare vocals take on their latest summery single.

The special new take of the single was arranged by the band in collaboration with Parr Street Studios producer Chris Taylor, as well as the ears of Paul Duffy guiding the recording: both founding member of the renowned masters of vocal harmony The Coral.

From this, the band have found an affectingly intimate side to their music. The accompanying video for the track sees the members of one of British guitar music’s most exciting and popular new band take their new music to market – literally. Shot on location around their native Wigan, The Lathums stride through Wigan market greeting local Saturday shoppers and vendors.

The band, including deep-thinking lyricist-singer, Alex Moore, Rickenbacker-slinging
guitarist, Scott Concepcion, drummer, Ryan Durrans and the increasingly mysterious ‘Bass Mon Jon’ are set for a huge summer and autumn as they have countless tour dates scheduled before the end of the year.

Having completed their debut album at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, produced by The Coral’s James Skelly, the band looks forward to revealing more new music before hitting the road.
