Afrobeat breakthrough star Darkoo has just dropped her debut EP, 2 in 1. The new release takes a deeper look at her African and British roots and the music that has inspired her throughout her life. The EP includes collaborations from Tion Wayne, Blanco, Gabzy and Unknown T, with Darkoo’s versatility shining through at the core of every track.

In the EP, you can feel the mix of cultures, music and style throughout with incredible nuance from the 19-year-old musician. 'Pick Up' stands out as an emotional highlight. She spoke about the body of work here:

“This EP explores my feelings and presents a more emotional side of me with tracks like ‘Oti Bere’, ‘Pick Up’ and ‘Slow Down’ featuring Tion Wayne. 2 in 1 is a collection of tracks that you can chill to and vibe with, it showcases my two cultures which evolved from my journey to London from Lagos. It also gives you a sneak peek to another side of me with the track ‘Come up’ which has a drill edge to it and features Unknown T, it represents my London side. 2 In 1 is a body of work that truly represents who I am.”
