More about:

Heather Elle’s project Flossing has just released ‘TRAP’, a new single taken from her Queen Of The Mall EP which arrives 10 September 2021. ‘TRAP’ takes a look how gender and technology intersect with coercion and manipulation, with a music video that matches the dark quality of the single.

Elle took inspiration from more alternative sources with this song – hearing Fetty Wap’s ‘Trap Queen’ everywhere she went, hearing about T.R.A.P. laws that were threatening abortion clinics, and even overhearing someone on the street say the line “everyone gasped as the clothes fell on the tarmac”. You can hear her ability to turn everyday occurrences and wider issues into immersive music. The music video, directed by Ali Yidiz, experiments with CCTV cameras and gives the song a more sinister tone.
