Dirty Hit signing and recent high school graduates Lowertown have today shared ‘The Gaping Mouth’. It’s the title track from their upcoming EP which is set for release 16 September. Known as one to watch across the board, the duo shared their debut EP Honeycomb, Bedbug last year.

There’s an intriguing duality throughout ‘The Gaping Mouth’ – intricate acoustic fingerpicking with flashes of noise, Olivia Osby’s half-spoken verses that transform into melodic, more improvisational vocals. These contradictions point to an exciting new EP and a group that is going to quickly rise to the top.

They described the EP as “our most honest and interesting work to date. Most of our songs in the past have been sad songs, but this is our most mature work.”
