More about:

Sam Fender has today shared the music video for boisterous B-side ‘Howdon Aldi Death Queue’, which he recently released alongside his latest single ‘Seventeen Going Under’. His new album, also titled Seventeen Going Under, is set for release 8 October on Polydor Records.

It's not the sound you would expect from Fender following his first album, but tongue-in-cheek two-minute punk tracks suit him well. In the song, he rages against people who don’t understand the 2-metre social distancing rule and stand far too close at the supermarket. The music video stars Robson Green and Tom Brittney.

Sam Fender spoke about how such an unexpected song came about:

“We recorded this two-minute punk monster of a track in one take. It was basically a joke that went too far, but I’m so glad it did. The video features legends Robson Green and Tom Brittney who we had been out fishing with on the day it was filmed. We had an absolute riot causing carnage in that supermarket!”

Seventeen Going Under Tracklist:

1. Seventeen Going Under
2. Getting Started
3. Aye
4. Get You Down
5. Long Way Off
6. Spit Off You
7. Last To Make It Home
8. The Leveller

10. Paradigms
11. The Dying Light

Seventeen Going Under arrives 8 October via Polydor.
