Molly Payton has announced a mini-album titled Slack with her new single 'When Skies Were Always Blue'. A big, soaring slacker cut with Molly's tremulous voice taking centre-stage, it's a continuation from last year's Porcupine EP.

The twenty year-old has also been announced as part of the Pitchfork Paris line-up, as well as London Calling Amsterdam.

Of the grunge ballad, Molly said: “‘When Skies Were Always Blue’ is about learning how to live with disappointment, and how experiencing pain makes you appreciate joy that much more. I wrote this song after dealing with some traumatic stuff and losing someone close to me, and I think in a way it was me trying to give myself a bit of hope and reminding myself that things would get better with time.”

Slack arrives 1 October via Bug Records.
