Fred Perry Subculture—a division of the fashion brand keenly interested in supporting independent venues—will present a very special show at Manchester's Deaf Institute next week.
Nottingham no wave/post-punk upstarts Do Nothing will headline a Saturday night (6 November) show presenting some of the best Northern talent. As well as the band who brought us Glueland and bangers like 'Lebron James', Manchester's very own Blanketman will take a turn on stage, performing songs from their fun debut EP National Trust. English Teacher—one of the latest bands to be signed to label tastemakers Nice Swan—will play a set, echoing the "magnetising" set they played in Rotterdam at Left of the Dial this month.
Hot Singles Club, an exciting new project inspired by 1970's New York and starring The Orielles' Esmé Dee Hand-Halford, will play—and local legend and Charlatans leader Tim Burgess will DJ.
The whole night will be a great opportunity to find a brand new favourite band—and the perfect moment to support a legendary local venue.
