More about: The Ninth Wave
The Ninth Wave go to strength to strength with every release. Today's, 'What Makes You a Man' announces the band's second album Heavy Like a Headache and it's a stirring, ominous piece from the Glasgow band.

Heavy Like a Headache will be fifteen tracks long and will feature the already-released 'Maybe You Didn't Know' ("massive vocal performances, enormous synths and a chorus to bring the roof down") and 'Piece and Pound Coins' ("needs a new Twilight movie to be made for it so that it can feature on the soundtrack").
The band's Millie Kidd confronts issues of consent on the new cut. On its themes she says: "What Makes You A Man is as claustrophobic as it is cathartic. It’s a journey of self deprecation, and how one event can be such a throwaway meaningless action for one half but be life changing for the other. I don’t want to blame myself for the degrading actions of others anymore - I want to stand up to this shame I hold with me, and recognise that it is not mine, I’m just the one carrying it."
