More about:

Palace have just shared the latest single from their upcoming album Shoals, which is set for release 21 January on Fiction. ‘Fade’ is the third single to be taken from the album, and it arrived today with an accompanying music video. Palace will tour the UK next February.

‘Fade’ is a thoughtful track that takes a deep dive into paranoia and anxiety, using its quick tempo and pounding drums to reflect the sense of worry that they explore throughout the track. The music video, cutting between found footage and dizzying angles of the band members has the same anxious effect.

Singer Leo Wyndham explained the new single:

“‘Fade’ is a song about the link between the body and the mind - how our mind’s response to the body’s state can turn into mental paranoia, leading to an unhealthy fixation on where we go when we meet our maker. It's an anthem to paranoia and the feeling like you could explode with the fear of what will become.”

Shoals arrives 21 January via Fiction.
