More about: Crows
Crows have written a jagged ode to true crime. H.H. Holmes and his horrific crimes are the inspiration for 'Room 156', which is another cut taken from the forthcoming album Beware Believers, out on April Fool's Day.
The drums are relentless and the great swinging stabs of guitar like blows from a knife on 'Room 156', which is at once violent and desolate. A warped, claustraphobic and cursed video joins it:
“I used to be quite obsessed with true crime, and this song was kind of born out of researching H.H Holmes and the World Trades Hotel in the 1860's where he would murder people staying at his hotel informally called ‘The Murder Castle" singer James Cox said.
The track follows January's 'Slowly Separate'.
On the album as a whole, the band said: “Beware Believers has felt like a marathon, a real endurance test that’s been a long, winding road filled with highs and lows and plenty of twists and turns."
