Green Day have joined a growing army of musicians who are cancelling their planned Russian shows this year following the country's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine last week.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have also just today (1 March) joined the trend, writing on Twitter that "our thoughts and love go out to the brave people of Ukraine, their heroic leader, and all those suffering from this senseless war".
See below the list of artists cancelling their Russian gigs in solidarity with Ukraine. We will be updating this list.
Green Day
“We are aware that this moment is not about stadium rock shows, it’s so much bigger than that,” the band wrote on a now-expired Instagram story. “But we also know that rock and roll is forever and we feel confident there will be a time and a place for us to return in the future.”
