Complete with another cinematic video by Autumn De Wilde, the track is situated in a bleak and witchy audio and visual landscape. Grab your candles and spell jars: we’re getting spooky.
Written in the spirit of lockdown, ‘Heaven Is Here’ channels all of Florence’s creative frustration into a hypnotic two-minute-long chant with nothing but primal drums and choral vocal percussion to pin it together.
With the videos being filmed in Kyiv, the release comes along with a heartbreaking message from Florence sending love to two of her dancers; “Two of the dancers in this video are currently sheltering. To my brave and beautiful sisters Maryne and Anastasiia. I love you. I wish I could put my arms around you. Strength.”
Wrapping joy, grief, pain, anger, determination, and escapism all up in one short track, we can’t wait for the next installment.
