More about: Tess Parks
Tess Parks has worked with Anton Newcome of Brian Jonestown Massacre a lot in the last couple of years, and now she's trailing a solo album titled And Those Who Were Seen Dancing with the impossibly cool 'Brexit at Tiffany's'.
Enjoying a Wetherspoons fry up in the attached video (and wearing a baked bean balaclava), Tess Parks speak-sings her way through the new single which has an irresistible groove and a poetic lyrical content read in a fried voice:
"In my mind, this album is like hopscotch”, Parks says of And Those Who Were Seen Dancing as a whole. These songs were pieced together over time in London, Toronto and Los Angeles with friends and family between August 2019 and March 2021"
"The lesson I have learned the most is that words are spells."
