Rickenbacker guitars hosted a buzzy opening for their brand new exhibition Out of the Frying Pan Into The Fireglo on Thursday evening (17 March). The exhibition—and event—are part of the new Rickenbacker coffee table book of the same name. The exhibition is open to the public daily at Shapero Rare Books in London's West End.

Visitors to the exhibit can expect to see a series of beautiful and historic guitars, many of them donated by their famous owners. There are several Paul Weller pieces on display, as well as a Johnny Marr favourite and a painted piece played by Ian Brown.

The displays ape the theme of the book, which collects photos of guitar models—newly-photographed—alongside interviews with famous Rickenbacker players. Written by Martin Kelly and Paul Kelly, it comes as Rickenbacker celebrates 90 years.
