More about: Maggie Rogers
Allow me to be the first to say it - thank god Maggie Rogers is back. It’s been too long since she graced us with her powerful debut Heard It In A Past Life, and now with a fresh pixie cut and new poetic outlook, she’s finally returning.

Arriving in July, Maggie has offered up a trailer to give us the tiniest taste of whats to come. Layering a spoken word intro over soft acoustic guitars nestles in electronic rumbles, it’s a sign that everything has switched up.
Declaring “We were 18. We were 23. I’m 27 now. Here’s all I have. It’s yours to take. Love. Hate. Anger. Feral joy. This is the story of what happened when I finally gave in. When I felt it all. When I finally let go…”, the new album Surrender already feels like a big moment for the artist.
In comparison to the isolated landscapes of Alaska found in her earlier work, Surrender was recorded between three wildly different locations - her parents’ garage, Electric Lady Studios in New York City and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath. Balancing her own personal growth as she headed back to college with this new musical era, there’s very few artists as real and raw as Maggie Rogers knocking about and Surrender seems set to be her most honest and visceral work yet.
Surrender arrives 29 July via Polydor Records.
