More about:

Fontaines D.C. have shared a fourth single from upcoming album Skinty Fia, dropping 'Roman Holiday' this afternoon.

The Dublin post-punks’ hotly-anticipated third album arrives on Friday, but in the meantime we’ve been treated to another taster. 'Roman Holiday' is the fourth single from the album to be released so far, after 'Jackie Down The Line', 'I Love You' and 'Skinty Fia', and is premiering on Zane Lowe’s Apple Radio show tonight.

On 'Roman Holiday', frontman Grian Chatten looks back on his experiences as an Irish person moving to London. He said: “Roman Holiday makes me think of the wide streets of north London in the summer and the urge to discover them at night time. The thrill of being a gang of Irish people in London with a bit of a secret language and my first flat with my girlfriend.”

Skinty Fia follows on from the quintet’s 2019 debut Dogrel and their 2020 follow-up A Hero’s Death, the latter receiving nominations for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy and Brit Awards respectively.
