It's happening! Jamie T has made good on his heavy hinting he was on the way back: he's released a popping new single called 'The Old Style Raiders' and announced that his fifth studio album The Theory of Whatever will drop in July.

A summer release is the perfect moment for this one, if 'The Old Style Raiders' is anything to go by: bright and hopeful, it has many hallmarks of early Jamie T with more positivity running through it. As always, there's an abundance of lyrics to get your teeth into. 

With 180+ tracks written since the release of his last album, 2016's Trick, Jamie didn't now where to begin. Then: “I went home one day, and I found this track that I had recorded, pretty much fully finished. And I was really upset, because I realised that I'd spent the last six months asking other people to tell me if something was good. Then I heard this track and I just immediately knew I'd kind of found my path.”

The album announcement follows recent 15 year anniversary celebrations for the seminal indie record Panic Prevention.

The Theory of Whatever arrives 29 July via Polydor.
