It’s a double whammy release day for King Princess. Sharing two new tracks from her upcoming album Hold On Baby, the album is shaping up to be bigger and better with every new tease.

Taking the sound she carved out on Cheap Queen and elevating it to electro, indie-pop perfection - Hold On Baby steps it all up. Made alongside an absolute production dream team including Mark Ronson, Aaron Dessner and Tobias Jesso Jr, the names behind the album already prove it’s going to be golden.
All coming together on this double track, the underpinning acoustic guitar on 'Too Bad' holding together a big, bold chorus feels like a perfect meeting of all of King Princess’ old work and her new confidence. While ‘Cursed’ speaks to her softer side, slowly building into something bigger. All coming together in a project focussed on self-love and identity, King Princess introduced the album by saying:
“I’ve only ever written about heartbreak. It felt easier to talk about myself through other people. To write about situations that caused me pain, and to use them to justify my own anxieties and depression. It finally reached a point where I had to turn the barrel on myself. I’m silly, I’m anxious, I’m sad, I’m sexy. I didn’t want to be scared to talk about those things anymore. The infinite dichotomy of things that make me up. I’m not a girl, not quite a boy, a lesbian, but also gay as the day is long.”
Hold On Baby arrives 29 July.
