A key one to watch for 2023, Biig Piig returns with new track ‘Picking Up’ alongside Deb Never. Fresh off the back of the announcement that she’s one of the BBC Sounds of 2023 longlist picks, she’s speeding towards the release of her debut mixtape in January.

As the third track to be revealed from the mixtape, each one is getting better than the last. Following ‘Kerosene’ and ‘This Is What They Meant’, ‘Picking Up’ leans further into crunchy breaks and heavy beats. Riding the same pop dnb, hyperpop waves as Piri and Tommy, merging classic club sounds with a headphone-ready veil over the top, she’s a frontrunner in the modern dance scene.

With support from big names like Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, you know whatever is to come on the Bubblegum mixtape is sure to be great. Landing January 20th, we’ll be spinning ‘Picking Up’ till then.
