More about:

A band that has been making their way around the live circuit for a long time, The Goa Express are still at it with renewed energy. Only days after appearing in a major Netflix movie, the band have now announced they’ve signed with Communion Records as they drop ‘Portrait’.

Still straying deep into nostalgic waters, ‘Portrait’ keeps up the band’s 90s inspired classic indie, with Stone Roses inspired repetitive, chanty choruses mixed with a 00s indie sleaze energy. With a short run time and unrelenting energy, seems the band are barging down the door to a new era, ready for bigger things this year.

Talking about the track, frontman James Douglas Clarke said; “Portrait has been a band favourite for a while. It always seems to go down well live, and it felt ready for the radio at the time we signed our record deal. I guess it’s about the ups and downs of sharing the same space with somebody significant and how things seem to jump around, twisting and turning in every direction.”

‘Portrait’ is out now
