More about:

Do you hear that? It sounds like people, like crowds, like incoherent chatter and mumbling and this drink and that band and can you see alright mate? Do you smell that? Smells of sticky dance floors, of too much mixer and sweat and burps. Do you see that? Looks like lights, light and rockstar silhouette and awkward angles to peep over a stranger’s head. Do you feel that? Feels like festival season.

Where do you go? What should you do? Festival season seems to get busier and more jam packed every single year and as such, it can be difficult deciding where abouts you should go. It’s looking like one of the best events of the summer might be located in the humble Colours in Hoxton. As CloseUp festival announce their second wave of acts, it’s clear they are keen on expanding the range available to punters and giving people the best weekend possible.

Already announced were the likes of Phoebe Green, RumRunner, Viji and Sophie Griffiths, as well as Bedroom / Boredom, Freya Beer and Bayboard. When the first announcements were made, the Sunday headliner was kept under wraps, until now, as recently CloseUp have revealed that they’ll have Chilli Jesson playing. This is incredibly exciting news, once a member of Palma Violets, Chilli Jesson has gone on to release his own music to the acclaim of fans and critics alike.

Joining him will be acts such as Sophie Griffiths, Delights, Bandit and Bayboards, all coming together to make what promises to be a memorable weekend.
