More about: FIZZ
When the band declared this the summer of FIZZ - they weren’t kidding. Sharing their 3rd track in a mere few weeks, the four piece made up of Dodie, Orla Gartland, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown wander into slower territory on ‘Close One’.
Lead by Orla Gartland’s instantly recognisable vocals before being joined by the tight harmonies that have made FIZZ’s other releases so special - ‘Close One’ put their talents on a shining display.
Diving into wistful nostalgia and the emotional rollercoaster of trying to be friends or maintain healthy boundaries with a lost love - ‘Close One’ seems suggestive of a softer side we might get to see on their debut album.
Talking about the track, the band said: ““It was night time at the studio and Martin and Mat (drummer and honorary 5th member of FIZZ) were up late jamming in the way that only Martin and Mat can. The next morning they presented their idea to the group and ‘Close One’ began - it had something interesting, a different feeling to the other songs we had been collecting”.
FIZZ’s debut album, The Secret To Life arrives September 15th.
