Red Hot Chili Peppers are almost on a par with pop divas like Madonna after it emerged they made some high maintenance demands at the Reading Festival at the weekend.
The rockers headlined the main stage on the Saturday, but reportedly ordered a wooden walkway to be erected from their backstage pen to the stage to avoid them getting muddy.
The same Sun report alleges that they also made sure that their entire backstage area was sealed off too - so much so, that their manager Cliff Burnstein couldn’t get in to see them.
The Chili Peppers’ headline set itself was blighted with sound problems during the opener ‘Can‘t Stop‘, with many audience members booing because of the low volume. This was later attributed to the accidental tripping of a cable.
- I always knew they were a bunch of fairies!!
- Sound was rubbish at Leeds too. Very dissapointing
- i didnt hear any boos
- antony was in sum bad mood wiv the crowd. he left the stage abruptly at the end leavin the others playing on stage unaccompanied at the end, still an enjoyable performace.
can i also sayit wasnt even muddy!!!
- that was so annoying that happened to the sound performance wise they were brilliant though antony was a bit off and they should of stuck to hits instead of songs from SA especially the ones no one has heard but its still annoying everyone has been slagging them off
