The first batch of acts have been confirmed for this year’s Bestival and it’s already looking like a bit of a corker.
My Bloody Valentine will headline the opening Friday night, a spot which was occupied by The Chemical Brothers in 2007. The Saturday and Sunday night headliners will be announced at a later date.
Elsewhere on the bill are the likes of Aphex Twin, Sebastien Tellier, Metronomy, Foals, CSS, Ebony Bones, Jamie Lidell, Crystal Castles, The Teenagers, Pendulum and Two Gallants.
There’s also quite a few established acts on the bill, with Gary Numan, The Human League, The Breeders, George Clinton and Chas & Dave all performing.
As always, there’s a strong roster of dance acts and DJs with Layo & Bushwacka, DJ Yoda, Scottish techno legends Slam, Annie Mac and Mr Bestival himself Rob Da Bank all confirmed.
Once again, Bestival takes place at Robin Hill County Park, Isle of Wight, on the weekend of September 5-7.
Tickets are on sale right now and cost £130 for a full adult, £65 for children aged 12-15 and free for under 12s.
