Glastonbury Tickets Are Still Available
Tickets for this years Glastonbury Festival are still available more than 24 hours after going on sale.
By yesterday afternoon 100,000 out of the total 137,500 tickets had been sold to pre-registered fans.
The Festivals organiser Michael Eavis said the reason tickets hadn’t sold out was due to the bad weather which has affected recent festivals.
"In previous years all tickets were sold-out within a couple of hours but I think three years of mud may have taken their toll, but even so, 100,000 isn't bad,” he told the BBC.
Organisers have been quick to dampen claims that the rapper Jay-Z, who will headline the Pyramid Stage, is to blame for the drop in demand.
"People will be astonished, astounded when they see who's playing,” Eavis said.
"I'm so excited about Jay-Z too. He's the best thing we have had here for years."
This year’s festival runs from June 27th-29th and will also feature headline performances from The Verve and Kings Of Leon.
