Music Fans To Be Given The Opportunity To Stage Their Own Events

With help from Rolling Stones guru...

Music fans in Scotland are to be given the opportunity to stage their own events across the whole of the country.

Tennent’s Mutual will give fans access to £150,000 in order to book acts, as well as choose what locations and venues are used.

As organisers, they’ll even be allowed to set an events ticket price, with all revenue being injected back into a central fund.

Fans who register for the new initiative, which has been developed by the same people who run the T in the Park festival, before June 30th will be granted founder member status.

George Kyle, Head of sponsorship at Tennent’s, described the idea as “fresh, creative and most importantly, very different to anything that we have done in the past.”

The Rolling Stones svengali Andrew Loog and Babyshambles manager Adrian Hunter will be on hand to offer advice to event organisers.

The Tennent’s Mutual shows will run throughout October and November.
