Richie Sambora, the guitarist in Bon Jovi, has been sentenced to three years probation for driving under the influence of alcohol.
A second charge against the guitarist, who wasn’t present at the hearing in California, was dropped after he pleaded no contest.
Sambora must also attend first offender alcohol awareness classes as part of his sentence.
The guitarist was arrested in March after his car was spotted swerving across traffic lanes in Laguna Beach.
Sambora had three passengers with him at the time, a woman and two children, which prompted police to press for a charge of child endangerment.
It was decided yesterday, however, that there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute the musician.
