Oasis singer Liam Gallagher is keen to move into the Dakota Building in New York, which used to be the home of former Beatle John Lennon.
Gallagher, who has previously stated his desire to move to the city, is said to have his eyes on the property, which overlooks Central Park.
"He loves that part of New York and feels he'd be very much at home there. He would also feel close to Lennon's spirit,” a source told the Daily Star.
Earlier this week, Gallagher denied he wanted to make the move to launch an acting career.
Lennon was shot dead outside the Dakota Building in December 1980.
The former Beatles' killer, Mark Chapman, was recently denied parole at the fith attempt of trying. He will be able to apply again in 2010.
