Manchester United's Wayne Rooney: 'I Love Oasis'

Manchester United and England football Wayne Rooney has spoken of his admiration for Oasis.

The footballer, who celebrated his 100th career goal last weekend, said one of the first CDs he bought was by the group.

“I love Oasis and remember getting their CD '(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?' years ago,” he told Manchester United's Insider magazine.

It's not clear whether Rooney's admission will upset the club's fans, however, as Noel and Liam Gallagher are supporters of the club's biggest rival Manchester City.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Rooney is also a fan of Stereophonics and invited the Welsh band to perform at his wedding earlier this year in Italy.

He also the name of the band's 2001 album 'Just Enough Education To Perform' tattooed on his forearm.
