One hundred and thirty-one thousand music fans have arrived on site at the Glastonbury festival in Somerset.
The event, which holds a capacity of 175,000, got under way this afternoon with the Abba tribute act Bjorn Again.
Gabriella Cilmi also appeared on the Pyramid stage, while dance act The Whip dedicated their performance on the Other Stage to the late Michael Jackson.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Worthy farm was hit by heavy rain showers last night, which were described as “biblical” by one festivalgoer.
Gigwise's Scott Colothan said 1000 fans had been admitted to the medical facility. Some injuries are thought to be as a result of the muddy conditions.
The Met Office has told Gigwise that after another unsettled forecast today, conditions at Glastonbury should improve on Saturday and Sunday.
Stay tuned to Gigwise for all the latest news, set reviews, interviews and photos from this year's Glastonbury festival over the course of the weekend.
