- More Michael Jackson
The plastic surgeons who carried out operations on Michael Jackson's face “didn't know when to stop”, according to the singer's dermatologist.
Dr Arnold Klein, who last saw Jackson just three days before his death on June 25, said the singer had come to view his face as a piece of art.
The doctor made the claims during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America earlier today (July 8), according to AP.
Dr Klein also admitted that he had sedated Jackson, but had never administered potentially lethal sedatives such as Diprivan.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the intravenous anesthetic drug, which helps induce a patient into unconsciousness before surgery, was found at the star's rented home in Holmby Hills after his death.
"I was not one of the doctors who participated in giving him overdoses of drugs or too much of anything," Dr Klein said.
"In fact, I was the one who limited everything, who stopped everything."
Dr Klein added that he had only ever given the star mild medication. "How am I going to prescribe Diprivan when I don't know how to use it?” he said.
Speculation has focused on Jackson's alleged addiction to painkilling drugs since his death last month.
An official autopsy ruled there was no foul play or external trauma in the star's death, but the coroner deferred the cause of death pending the results of toxicology tests.
Meanwhile, Dr Klein also used his appearance on Good Morning America to quash speculation about Jackson's thin appearance and suggestion he weighed just over eight stone.
He said that when the pair last met the singer had “danced in my office. He danced for my patients”.
As previously reported on Gigwise, family and friends of Michael Jackson took part in the spectacular tribute to the singer’s life and musical legacy in Los Angeles yesterady..
