- More Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson's skin doctor has rubbished claims that Michael Jackson was ashamed of being black.
The King of Pop, of course, always stated he had the skin condition vitiligo which causes a loss of pigmentation. Tabloids on the other hand speculated that Jackson bleached his skin in a bid to look white.
Speaking to American newsman Larry King, skin doctor Arnold Klein said: "Michael was very proud of his black heritage."
Speaking about the treatments he offered Jackson, he contiued: "We basically used creams that would even out the skin colour... but he couldn't really go out in public without looking terribly peculiar."
It's a far cry from producer Quincy Jones' comments earlier in the week, when he blasted "(Michael) was the most gorgeous guy but he obviously didn't want to be black. You see his kids? It's ridiculous. Chemical peels and all. I don't understand it.
"He'd come up with, 'Man, I promise you I have this disease' and 'I have a blister on my lungs'. I don't believe any of that bullshit."
Michael Jackson memorial:
- I don't believe Michael ever wanted to be white but I also don't care. Michael was an amazing simger, dancer, songwriter and performer. His albums, awards, songs and legacy outweigh all the b.s. that was/is said about him. I've never met him but I still love him. His music touched me as it has done to alot of peoiple. Let him rest in peace. I'm content with knowing he's moonwalking in heaven, why isn't everyone else.
- if he didn't want to be black then why in the hell his kids are 100% white debbie rowe said he wanted blond children with blue eyes and when prince michael was born he kept coloring his hair blond ,if he is capable to put chemicals on a little boy's scalp ,god knows what he can do to himself
- I don't think that Michael wanted to be white. Some whites want to hear that blacks want to look like them and get upset when blacks are proud of who they are. Like Michael said in his interview with Martin Bashir, what about the whites that tan their skin year round, do they want to be black since they don't like their color and darken it? But nobody talks about that. Tanning is a multi-billion dollar industry and more people darken their skin than lighten it. Let's be hones
- Rest in peace, Michael, love you.
- There are some people who hate to see blacks proud of who they are even when they hear it from Michael or his doctor says it. Michael had a disease. Is Robert Dinero not proud of who he is since the only woman he is involved with are beauties of color? Just because someone maybe attracted to someone else doesn't mean that they want to be them. Michael I love you and RIP.
